Ice Cream

A few weeks ago after we finished supper we decided we wanted ice cream. We don't keep ice cream in our house because I will eat it all. So I started looking in my coupons to see what ice cream places we had coupons for. We headed to Brusters (you can sign up for their "sweet rewards" and they send coupons to your inbox) where I had a buy one get one free coupon and here are the results...

Also, I know some of you have e-mailed me and said you couldn't leave me a comment. I worked on this before and thought I fixed it but I didn't. I really do think I fixed it this time.

Camp ASCCA

Our wonderful church has a ladies program in the spring called First Fridays. On the first Friday in March, I had the pleasure of hearing Allison Wetherbee tell her story. She is now the Director of Public Relations for Camp ASCCA but her love for Camp ASCCA runs much deeper as she attended Camp ASCCA as a child. She has written a book, I Was Born This Way, and you can visit her website to find out more about her www.allisonwetherbee.com. I enjoyed hearing from Allison what all Camp ASCCA offers. Camp ASCCA is Alabama's Special Camp for Children and Adults. It is the world's largest camp that provides therapuetic recreation for chidlren and adults with both physical and mental disabilities. They provide weekend programs and week long sessions, Camp ASCCA is open year-round. The age range for campers is 6 to 96! It is located on Lake Martin between Dadeville and Alexander City and offers campers water and outdoor adventure activities, hourseback riding, swimming, canoeing, fishing, arts and crafts, zip-line, water tubing and more. Flowers

I have been wanting some pots with flowers by our front door for a while now but couldn't find what I was looking for. (Those of you who know me well know that I would rather wait until I found exactly what I want instead of just buying something and then the cost isn't as big of a deal because I've wait so long to find it that I've had time to save enough money to buy it and I will keep it forever.) I was so excited to find these and I had a coupon at Out in the Garden so I was able to purchase each of them for 20% off and that made me like them even more!! Tucker wanted to help but Chance and I told him he could just play in the yard while we worked. Since he was trying to be a big helper I told him he could take a picture when we were finished. Here is the finished project from a few Saturday's ago.
This is the face he makes when you tell him to say cheese for a picture...

Happy Easter!!

He is risen!! The tomb Jesus was in is empty!! I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter!! Tucker had a great Easter as this is the first year that he's really been able to know what is going on with hunting eggs, the Easter Bunny, etc.
Tucker's Easter events started on Wednesday when we had an Easter Egg Hunt with our Auburn Mommies group at Felton Little Park.
Enjoying the egg hunt!!

Playing at the park after the egg hunt!!

Part of his Easter present from Coony and CC (my dad and mom)

Then on Saturday we attended Easter on the Square in downtown and had a wonderful time. It's a fabulous event that the Parks and Recreation puts on every year. When we got there, we did lots of crafts, then Tucker and Daddy were in a parade and then Tucker hunted eggs and candy!! He had a big day!!
Not too sure about the Easter Bunny

Tucker and Mommy downtown

Tucker and Daddy

Ready to get the eggs and the candy with his camo jeep basket he selected..

Showing us what he found..

On the way home from our second Easter Egg Hunt I felt the need to ask Tucker why we celebrated Easter (I was afraid I knew what he was going to say as the only Easter he had experience was egg hunts)
Tucker: Yes, mam mommy, for Easer Egg Huns
Me: (seeing this as an opportunity to explain the real reason, I take one of his eggs and take the rabbit eraser out so the egg is empty) See the empty egg Tuck
Tuck: Where my raser go mommy?
Me: It's right here Tuck but look see how the egg is empty?
Tuck: Yes mam
Me: Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and three days after Hewas buried He arose from the dead and the egg is empty like the tomb is empty. We celebrate Easter because Jesus arose!!
Tuck: Okay Mommy, where my raser?
Chance laughed at me and said good try but I think he's too young to understand all that he's only 2. Maybe next year.
Then today we had a great Easter Sunday. We decided to stay at our house today and just chill since we've been going so much. We kept the nursery this morning and look at these precious children in their Easter outfits..

Family Easter picture

Brother Steve delivered a great message and so did Jason in Sunday School. After church we had a family picture by the fountain and enjoyed a delicous lunch with some of our dear friends the Bryants. (Please keep Ashley's family in your prayers as her Great Grandmother went to be with the Lord today). All three of us enjoyed an afternoon nap and then we headed back to church for the Lord's Supper tonight. Mike King did a fabulous job as it was the best Lord's Supper I have ever been apart of. The entire evening service was devoted to the Lord's Supper and the music was great. We just had a wonderful Easter celebrating our Savior's Resurrection.

Big Boy Potty

Tucker is showing no interest in his big boy potty. When we talk to him about it he just ignores us. He is way too young to already be ignoring us or changing the subject. Chance and I made a huge deal out of going and picking out a potty and he seemed some what interested at the time but now he is so over it. It is in our bathroom and he sits on it sometimes but there has never been any action. Our pediatrician said not to push him but I know he could do it if he would take the time to stop playing and tell me he has to go.
Hope you enjoy the picture from the big night more than Tucker is enjoying his big boy potty. Tucker asked us why his potty didn't have laler (water) like ours. LOL. What this little boy thinks of.

This is from the basketball game we went to a while back. Tucker loved Aubie!!

Helping Fight Breast Cancer

This is such an easy way to help someone in need and it only takes a second.

EVERY HIT IS NEEDED!

The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exc hange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it al ong to people you know.

http://www.thebreastcancersite.com/

When you get to the site, you can ask for a daily email to like you directly to the site! It is sooooo easy!
