I have a wonderful husband and I know I don't tell him enough how wonderful he is. He helps me so much with Tucker and helps on projects around the house. He can truly fix ANYTHING!! A few weeks ago we came home and found our kitchen light cover on the floor. I was so glad we weren't at home when it feel because it could have hurt Tuck if it had fallen on him. The cover broke into several pieces so I go to Home Depot thinking I'll just buy a new cover and it wouldn't be very expensive. Well, we would have to purchase a whole new unit (which we don't need because the light is fine just the cover is broken) and I was shocked at how much the ugly thing cost. It was already in our house when we bought our house so I didn't change it out. Anyway, since we couldn't get another cover I hated to waste the light we did have so my sweet husband took the light down, wired the light to turn on when we turn on the kitchen entrance light and put the light in the laundry closet!! (I call it a laundry closet because it really is more like a closet than a room. There has never been a light in there so I am delighted!! He is so good. I knew he could do it. So now I am thinking about track lighting in the kitchen where the other light fell because there isn't a light in our pantry and that would give light in our pantry plus it is cheeper than the ugly light we had. A win/win!!!

Butter v Margarine
I received this in an e-mail and thought it was interesting.
Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back.
It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow colouring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavourings..
DO YOU KNOW.. The difference between margarine and butter?
Read on to the end...gets very interesting!
Both have the same amount of calories.
Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams; compared to 5 grams for margarine.
Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.
Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.
Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few and
only because they are added!
Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavours of other foods.
Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years .
And now, for Margarine..
Very High in Trans fatty acids.
Triples risk of coronary heart disease .
Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)
Increases the risk of cancers up to five times....
Lowers quality of breast milk.
Decreases immune response..
Decreases insulin response.
And here's the most disturbing fact....... HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!
Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC... and shares 27 ingredients with PAINT
These facts alone were enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).
You can try this yourself:
Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it open in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will notice a couple of things:
* no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)
* it does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value ; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic . Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Fantasy in Lights
Chance and I took Tuck to the Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens before Christmas. We had a great time!! Chance and I went when we were dating and then we took Tucker 2 years ago (but he was too little to really enjoy it.) This year it was a different story. He loved it!! We will probably be going every year from now on. We did the ride in your own car so we could stay warm and let Tuck sit in the front seat with us.
These faces are priceless

I told Tuck to hold his wreath so I could take a picture and this is what he did...
This was such a fun, cute activity. Thank you so much No time for flash cards!!

The entire amount ($50) will be donated to Junior League to support art and literacy programs for Lee County’s children in 2010-2011. Let me know if you would like more info on this. Check out Jernigan's work at here.

Thank You Santa
The Monday after Christmas I had to go and get my tires rotated. I knew it would take a little time so I took a notepad so Tucker could draw. We were sitting there and I handed Tucker the notepad and suggested that he draw a picture for Daddy that he could give Daddy when he got home. Tucker absolutely blew me away. He said, "Mommy, I fink (think) I'll write Santa a thank you note." I thought that was so sweet. Here is the thank you note...
He said he wrote Santa a thank you note and drew a picture of the excavator Santa brought him.
