Happy Memorial Day and Fun Thursday Activity

First of all, I want to say thank you to all of our past and present military men and women who keep us safe each and everyday. Also, thank you to the military families who sacrifice so much everyday. I greatly appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you Lord for allowing me to live in the great USA. Father in Heaven, I pray we return to You and the roots our country was founded on.

Birthdays in March

This is long over due but in March we headed to South Georgia to celebrate
Savannah and Trent's birthdays. We had a great time with the hubby's family.

We are so proud of Cousin Vannah (what T used to call her). She graduated from UGA earlier this month with her Interior Design degree!!! This amazing woman even drove the UGA bus (thus the UGA bus cake). We love you Vannah!!!

I made Trent's cake and I see I need to work on my icing techinque a bit.

Trent is so sweet and didn't appear to mind that my icing application needs a little work. A horseshoe cake for a true Texas cowboy.

Groupon is a website that offers daily deals from things like restaurants, to hair salons, to waterparks, the movies, etc. You never know what I might find in your e-mail for the Groupon deal of the day. Act fast because they do go fast. There is a limited number that can be redeemed and a certain number of people have to buy the offer before it is a done deal. Check it out here on my reference code.

Several bowling allies offers free bowling for children 16 and under. They get 2 games free every day of the summer. You can also purchase a pass for up to 4 adults where they can play 2 games everyday for the summer. That pass is $27.95 while the kids one is just a sign-up.

Braves Game- Take 2

A few weeks ago we along with the Bryant family (thank you Ted and Ashley for going with us to chaperone the Alpha Gams) headed to the Braves Game in Atlanta. WE got there a little bit before the game was finally called. Since the game was cancelled our tickets are good for any other regular season game. T was sad not to see the game but Mickey made it better!!




My sweet husband wasn't planning on going to the game but decided to go since it would be T's first game. He suprised us and came home early from work to go with us. I hate he came home early for nothing but he was so sweet to surprise us. We enjoyed spending time with him!! I love you Chance!!! We are looking forward to taking T to his first game sometime soon!!

So sorry for the week long absence but I have been thinking about my blog and how to change it up. There are 3 categories -so to speak- in my life that I am very passionate about

Money Monday- The Lord has greatly blessed us and I feel He has called me to be a good steward of our money by saving money/making it stretch. I will be sharing ways with you I enjoy saving money. I feel like couponing is one way the Lord has called me to be a good steward of His/our money.

Working Wednesday- I will be sharing with you beauty tips, the latest styles and new products by BeautiControl.

Faith, Family and Friends Friday- I will share with you the more personal things going on in my life or things that you can apply to your relationship with Christ, family and friends.

I have found lots of times these 3 areas overlap in my life. I feel like I am constantly looking for balance in my life and hope this will help me.

Best coupon trip yet!! This is to encourage you that you can coupon. I usually save only 25-35% per trip but last week T and I hit the jackpot with 52% savings!!!

This was at Kroger and my bill was $130 before my kroger card and coupons. After Coupons it was $64.58!!

There was a mega 10 (buy 10 items on the list and save $5) list last week that had lots of items you can send to the tornado victims. Several items from below will be going to a drop off spot soon!! If you need a spot to drop, our church is taking items and so is Junior League.

We also eats lots of fruit I just stock up on it when it is on sale and freeze it too!!
